Identify the lined assembly
A custom PTFE lined fitting is a steel shell and fluoropolymer-lined flow path specified as one assembly. Name the fitting or pipe spool, attach the current drawing and give the drawing number and revision. If the request starts from an existing installation, identify the matching equipment and the dimensions that cannot change. A photograph can explain the interface, but it cannot replace approved dimensions.
Show geometry and connections
Include nominal size, face-to-face dimensions, branch position, bend or transition geometry, flange standard and flange orientation. Mark any fixed bolt-hole orientation or equipment nozzle interface. For a group of spools, provide an isometric or line list that ties each drawing to its quantity. Ask the supplier to list unresolved dimensions before quoting a final configuration.
Define shell and liner separately
State the specified steel shell material and the requested PTFE or PFA lining. If the liner choice is open, describe the medium and operating conditions and request a proposal for engineering review. Identify any project specification or required document. Do not assume that two quotations with different liner, shell or flange scope are directly comparable.
Include service and inspection requirements
Provide the process medium, design temperature, pressure or vacuum, installation location and any cleaning or handling constraints. List the inspection, test, marking and documentation requirements actually needed for the project. The responsible engineer should confirm suitability and acceptance criteria for the complete assembly; a product category alone is not a service rating.
Compare the quoted scope
Request a quotation that names each drawing revision, component quantity, shell material, liner, connection details, inspection scope, exclusions and delivery destination. Separate sample or trial requirements from the planned batch. When a drawing or service condition changes, request a revised offer so pricing and technical assumptions stay aligned.
