Start with the reference you have
A dimensioned drawing is the clearest starting point, but it is not the only one. An existing sample, a replacement-part requirement or a bill of materials can begin the discussion. Identify the part, revision and required quantity for every item. State what is known and what still needs confirmation so an estimate is not mistaken for an approved specification.
For a drawing, send the controlled package
Provide the current PDF drawing and a STEP model if available. Include the drawing number, revision, units, specified material or grade, and the dimensions that control fit. Add information about mating components and inspection requirements. When documents disagree, identify the authoritative source before approving manufacture.
For a sample or replacement part, document the context
Share clear photographs of the whole part, critical features and the mating interface. Include known measurements, original equipment reference, service conditions and visible wear or damage. A worn sample can be a helpful reference, but measured values must be reviewed and converted into an agreed specification before supply is confirmed.
For a BOM, make the quotation comparable
List each line item with a part number, description, quantity and drawing reference. Attach the related drawing or sample information to each item rather than sending one unlabelled file set. Separate prototype, sample and planned batch quantities. Ask the quotation to identify the material, revision, inspection scope, documents and exclusions for every line.
Send enough information to start the review
Use the enquiry form to record your contact details, part reference, quantity and available material information. Then choose email or WhatsApp and attach the drawing, sample photographs or BOM there. The next step is a project-specific review of open points, proposed material, supply route and inspection scope before a final quotation or order is agreed.
